I applied for an Amazon Rewards Credit card, not approved immediately..how long will this take?
I wanted a credit card, and to get 30 bucks off my purchase, (This is my first credit card, I’m 19) so I applied for an Amazon Rewards card. They told me they couldn’t tell me whether I was approved yet. If I filled it out this morning, how long will it take for me to be approved/be able go make my purchase on amazon with this credit card?

The times I’ve been told to wait for an approval, I’ve been turned down.
They will NEVER tell you you’ve been turned down in person or over the phone. I must be done by letter.
The letter will show the reason why the application was turned down.

That’s because you have not yet establish credit with a bank yet, so the computer system that checks your FICO score saw no numbers. They will most likely call you or mail you a letter indicating their decision. It will take some several business days.

When I applied for this card, I was not approved immediately. I called up Chase to find out if I was approved or not. But I did give it a few days though. The number that I called is: 1-800-432-3117. If you were declined, they will send you a letter stating why they did. Right now, it is tough getting any kind of credit because of the economy.
