Question by Joe.R: What is the best rewards credit card? I am primarily interested in airline miles. Also, what is?
the industry standard as far as how many miles are given per dollar spent? Is it 1 mile for every dollar spent? Is it 2? Is it 1/2 mile? And how many miles (on average) do you need to purchase a plane ticket?
FYI: I don’t care about interest rate because I pay off my balance in full every month. I am just interested in earning free airline tickets, as I travel twice a year to destinations around the world.

In today’s credit card world, there are two types of airline credit card offers. There are the airline credit cards which are specific to a particular airline. Then there’s the reward card that allows you to accumulate bonus points you can use towards airline miles. This article is more specific to the airline credit card.
Many who travel extensively, either for business or personal use, quite often have a particular airline they like to travel on. Over the past few years, there have been many partnerships formed with the various airlines. These business alliances have opened up a whole new world of ways a traveler can save when they use their airline credit card.

Airline credit cards are increasingly becoming popular. Airline companies and banks, in particular, often sponsor airline credit cards in order to provide incentives to attract consumer interest. But before choosing an airline credit card, you should collect as much information as possible about each airline card that you are considering.
If you are a business traveler or a frequent flyer, an airline credit card is definitely something to investigate. But you might be wondering how airline credit cards work. Quite simply, you earn reward points, or miles, for every dollar spent with the credit card. These points can earn you free flights, free companion tickets, lost baggage protection, first class upgrades, car rentals, free stays in hotels and more.

I’m really interested but confused at the same time. I usually travel to LA during Thanksgiving break and to Mexico(Guadalajara) during winter break, so it’s not much but I think I could make good use of this program offered by most airlines. But how does it work? Let’s say I don’t have enough miles for the entire round-trip, can I just pay a portion of it with my miles? and what airlines fly to this destinations from Chicago O’Hare

Hello all,
I have to purchase three or four high-priced airline tickets in a few months, and I’m interested in using this to my advantage to rack up bonus/rewards. The flights will be primarily international and through international carriers, like Lufthansa and RyanAir. My goal is to rack up any possible credits to purchasing air tickets in the future. Stuff like frequent flier miles. Are any credit card programs you’re enrolled in conducive to this?
The problem is, I’m not familiar with any programs. I know nothing of reward/bonus programs, especially those related to airlines. I don’t even know if it would be worth it to open up a card elsewhere to gain rewards.

I am planning on switching to something else. Anyone have any good suggestions?
Thanks
Choosing an airline credit card is easier than you might think. When sorting through all of the many options available, there are three main questions you need to ask yourself: What airline do I use the most often? How many times per year do I fly? And, are the fees associated with the card worth the benefits?

im looking for a credit card that gives enough points right after activation so you can use immediately have a free flight.
Travel has become an expensive proposition, especially if you are not earning future flying miles while airborne. Airline credit cards generally offer points per flight taken, bringing rewards as a byproduct of each trip. These points will earn the cardholder free stays at hotels, future flights, car rentals, as well as other desirable rewards. A few of the cards charge around twenty-five thousand points per flight so a comparison in airline miles should be considered when choosing a credit card.
