Forget travel and airline rewards.
I’m a cost analyst and have done extensive math – with websites that back up my ideas.
Airline miles and rewards NEVER beat 1% cash back.
Under any circumstances.
Not sure why people love these airline miles so much.
Get the cash back – save it and you can buy your trip through travelocity and save about half the cost than if you had to go directly through the credit card site.

I’m really interested but confused at the same time. I usually travel to LA during Thanksgiving break and to Mexico(Guadalajara) during winter break, so it’s not much but I think I could make good use of this program offered by most airlines. But how does it work? Let’s say I don’t have enough miles for the entire round-trip, can I just pay a portion of it with my miles? and what airlines fly to this destinations from Chicago O’Hare

I was thinking of getting more rewards through a travel rewards credit card. I was also wondering what is the best travel rewards card that offers more with less risk and restrictions such as expired points, etc. I was thinking of getting the Blue Sky Travel Card from American Express. Basically, what offers more for your money spent, in terms of travel?
I’ve tried researching some but it’s way too many cards out there to compare all of them. So thanks and I’d appreciate any experience you share by using the travel rewards (Was it as easy as redeeming your points or did you have to go through layers of customer service reps, etc?)
